“The worlds first ever brother and sister team to row across any ocean”
A SISTER
ANNA
Anna, 27, younger sister of Cameron, was born in Oxford, UK. Growing up in the Cotswolds she attended boarding school at The Cheltenham Ladies’ College where she achieved her Gold DofE Award and was Co-Captain of Rowing.
Anna continued her studies in America, obtaining an Economics degree from Clemson University, SC.
During her time there she was a key member of the Women’s Division 1 Varsity Rowing Team and Delta Zeta Sorority. Anna stroked the 1st Varsity Eight at Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston and participated in 3 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championships.
Anna spontaneously cycled Lands End to John O’Groats raising money for a local charity during one of her summer breaks with a friend.
On return to England, Anna worked for a celebrity chef before pursuing her professional career with a Microsoft partner in the City of London.
Anna now resides in the United States and is available for public speaking and guest appearances.
A BROTHER
CAM
Cameron, 34, brother of fellow crewmate Anna, was born in London but grew up in the Middle East. At the age of 13 he attended boarding school in Gloucestershire, UK.
While at Cheltenham College, he was Head of Boats and lead the First Eight to row at Henley Royal Regatta and place in the top 10 at the Schools Head of the River.
He was later scouted to attend the Junior GB Rowing trials in Nottingham, but a spell of glandular fever prevented any athletic ambitions at that time and in his early years while studying at Oxford Brookes University.
After completing his Bachelor’s degree, Cameron connected with his American roots and lived in Miami for 3 years where ocean hobbies became a regular occurrence at weekends.
On his return to the UK he prepared to undertake a +21 mile solo swim from England to France in waters less than 16 degrees Celcius / 60 Fahrenheit without any wetsuit. Cameron completed his English Chanel swim in 2015 in 13 hours 49 minutes.
In addition to spending time at sea, Cameron also enjoys taking to the air having had his Private Pilots Licence (PPL) for a number of years. He has recently completed Commercial Pilots License (CPL) and multi-engine instrument rating and is now looking for his first job as a Commercial Airline Transport Pilot.
